Have trouble handling feed-back and criticism?
Next time try counting to three:
Take a deep breath and say, “Thanks for the feedback”. This will defuse the emotion and give you a moment to reflect before answering in a way you might regret.
Consider the source: Is the sender someone whose opinion counts? Are they important to your success or future happiness?
Reflect on the message: Is there a pearl of truth or wisdom in the message? Can I learn and grow from it?
